With roots in the Brazilian Amazon jungle and as a descendant of the Kaigang people, Army veteran Humberto Costa has gained unique experiences that few can match. Humberto has over 20 years of experience training military and civilian units in extreme survival and therefore has a great understanding of how important it is to be well-prepared and equipped for the unexpected.

As a bushcraft and survival instructor, Humberto is a well-known face worldwide, since 2012 he runs his survival school Costa Bushcraft & Survival where he teaches techniques for different forest areas, tropical jungles, and Atlantic forests. He has also participated in European festivals and has been a faithful user and supporter of Morakniv for a long time.

In 2022, Humberto Costa has named the most relevant outdoor personality in Brazil and received the Guerreiros Outdoor Award by Guerreiros Outdoor Magazine. Morakniv congratulates another milestone in Humberto’s career!

HUPUR Bushcraft

Humberto also organizes the HUPUR Bushcraft Festival, which has become the largest of its kind in Latin America. The festival, which annually attracts hundreds of visitors, received the 2022 Guerreiros Outdoor Award and was named the most relevant outdoor project of the year by Guerreiros Outdoor Magazine. The award aims to encourage and engage the community, and value Bushcraft culture and good practice in the outdoor environment.
