Sophie lives and works in London where she produces craft products in her home workshop for her brand Grain & Knot. In the summer of 2013, Sophie participated in a bushcraft and spoon carving workshop in the woods in the beautiful British countryside. Inspired by the techniques she learned, she returned home the next day with an axe, to her family’s great pleasure.

After giving away a few spoons as gifts, her relatives and friends persuaded her to continue her creation and create a brand for her products. After a few small cuts, Grain & Knot was finally born. The product line consists of beautiful, functional kitchen utensils made from recycled wood.
