Ahead of the summer’s culinary food experiences, Morakniv is pleased to present chef Adam Thulin as a new brand ambassador.
As the winner of Sweden’s Master Chef 2022 and the youngest winner, so far in the program’s history, Adam is already well-known in Sweden. With unexpected flavour combinations and beautiful arrangements in prime time, he not only succeeded in impressing the jury, but also charming the Swedish people.
Since winning the competition, master chef Adam has had time to become a cookbook author and inspirer. He currently works as a freelance chef with numerous exciting assignments.
“It is truly an honour for us to begin a fruitful collaboration with such a passionate and driven chef as Adam Thulin. Appropriately enough, we have long-standing plans to relaunch our highly anticipated chef’s knives in the Morakniv Classic 1891 collection. The timing could not have been better and with Adam’s knowledge and experience, we look forward to being able to further enrich ourselves with future development projects in the kitchen assortment,” says Johan Burtus, CEO at Morakniv.
A Morakniv is always made in Mora
The journey for Morakniv begins in 1891 when Frost-Erik Erson returned home to the village Östnor in Mora after four years in North America. When he started his timber sledge factory, the first seed was sown for what would eventually become the company and brand Morakniv as we know it today. In the beginning, Frost-Erik only manufactured knives for the factory’s internal use, but production would soon grow and more and more knives could be sent out in both Sweden and the world. Today, Morakniv has sales exceeding 200 MSEK, of which approximately 70% are export sales
