Morakniv AB has chosen to renew and broaden its sponsorship commitment to the local hockey club Mora IK. In the preparations of the sponsorship agreement for the 2021/2022 season, Morakniv demanded that the sponsorship would be distributed equally between the men’s hockey team, women’s hockey team and the junior hockey teams.
“Ice hockey, like several other sports activities, is very important to Mora. Society now needs a restart after a long and tough pandemic, where the sport has a very important mission. At the same time, we care about having breadth in our commitments as a sponsor. For us, highlighting women’s hockey and the youth is as high a priority as supporting the men’s team. This rhymes well with our values and is completely in line with our sustainability strategy, to be an inclusive player for the whole society. We are now looking forward to a successful season for Mora IK!” says Johan Burtus, CEO of Morakniv AB.
