Today, on March 2, 2023, we are proud to present a new generation of four different handmade solid, full tang knives live at the IWA Outdoor Classics 2023 in Germany.
“This knife series marks an important milestone in our efforts to further embrace sustainability, while making no compromises on product performance. With more than 130 years’ experience of knife manufacturing, we know that quality takes no shortcuts.” says Johan Burtus, CEO of Morakniv.
Introducing the new outdoor knives Finn, Wit, Lok and Rombo, made by our skilled craftsmen and women at the knife factory in Mora, Sweden.
All handles are made of bright ash wood, have full tang black knife blades of recycled Swedish stainless steel, and are secured in protective black vegetable tanned leather sheaths. Making the new collection entirely out of natural materials.
“In fact, we are extending the scope of our assortment as we enter an exciting new market. The Rombo knife is optimised for outdoor cooking, as the geometry of the handle together with the large blade and its distinctive food grind enables the user to enhance their cooking skills in the outdoors.” says Thomas Johansson, Industrial Designer at Morakniv.
Following the introduction of the outdoor cooking knife Morakniv Rombo BlackBlade™ (S) Ash Wood, the additional knives of the collection are adapted to meet the specific, different needs of the user.
The wilderness knife Morakniv Lok BlackBlade™ (S) Ash Wood is made for the expedition. The combination of the full-bodied handle together with the 3.2 mm thick blade made of recycled Swedish stainless steel and the customised curvature makes the knife ready for heavy-duty work. Making it suitable for greater challenges.
Meanwhile, the hiking knife Morakniv Finn BlackBlade™ (S) Ash Wood is developed to meet the needs on the easier hike. Whether it’s on foot along mountain or forest trails, down the river in a kayak, or by the campfire.
The bushcraft knife Morakniv Wit BlackBlade™ (S) Ash Wood is made for long-lasting adventures. The geometry of the handle enables a variety of grips and together with the blade’s full curvature and drop point tip, you can get the most out of your experience.
