New knife series Frosts® RMH: The biggest news from Morakniv for the food industry in two decades

Under the Frosts® brand, Morakniv has developed, manufactured, and distributed a wide range of high-quality knives for the food industry since 1891.

In our long experience of developing knives for various specific purposes, we have over the years developed a sharp expertise in knife knowledge which, in combination with craftsmanship, modern technology and high-quality durable materials, makes us unique. Since 2016, the manufacturing process has been powered by 100% green electricity in the knife factory in Mora, Sweden.

We are now launching a new generation of knives with an innovative ribbed handle structure of grip-friendly polymer, together with a carefully selected Swedish stainless knife steel with a recycling rate exceeding 80%.

In the new knife series Frosts® RMH, which stands for Ribbed Medium Hard, there are 16 knives in varied designs that together offer a broad portfolio of knives for the food industry.

“Every detail is carefully thought out, from the new ergonomic ribbed handle that makes them non-slip and ensures that the movement is steady and safe, to the flexibility of the blades that allows you to reach every part of the meat,” says Tomas Berglund, product specialist at Morakniv.

In addition to different knife blades with varying degrees of flex for different purposes, we also introduce blunt tip knives that provide extra protection during the working day. Frosts® RMH blunt tip knives will not penetrate metal mesh gloves, while the meat is protected, and the risk of other puncturing wounds will also be minimized.

“As part of our ESG initiative at Morakniv, we have also equipped the new knife blades with QR-codes to make them trackable. By collecting and intelligently linking all data to a specific knife, the user can analyse the use over time and immediately detect any deviations,” says Johan Burtus, CEO at Morakniv.
