This knife has a ground spine. The blade hasn’t been polished/buffed and the spine corners are sharp, which make knives with this grinding excellent for use with a fire starter. The adventure awaits!
I am a stocker at a supermarket and use my eldris constantly, around my neck. Being able to sheath it one handed/ambidextrously is indispensable for me! The compound edge is superb for doing push cuts and fine work while still having a strong scandi belly. Most times I open a box I use the reverse side of the tip, the drop point and sharpened spine is perfect for doing reverse edge work. Easy to sharpen and strop in 10 minutes or less!

Bought one for the wife & two daughters. Black, red & green. They love them & use them for all sorts of things at home & in the sticks. I found the limited ed. plumb colored one in Canada & purchased it for the wife. Now, I use the green one for many tasks. We all love them, perfect size for most cutting chores.

I have two of these. One lives in my daypack. The other is for my toolvag in my car. I like the small size and weight. The Eldris takes care of most of my camp chores and handles messy jobs you wouldn’t want to gum up your pocket knife with. This knife is robust and quality built.
