The colours of Eldris are inspired by the places around us, sprung from our history. In the forests of Mora, the blackness of the coal is never far away. Suddenly, you pass the remnants of a charcoal kiln, the main inspiration for the black Eldris. The Dalecarlian red colour is probably best known from the color that picked up its pigment in copper from the Falu Mine. Ever since the 18th century, the red cottages have spread throughout the country and in a way have also become an international symbol for Sweden and Dalarna.
Fire Steel Compatible
This knife has a ground spine. The blade hasn’t been polished/buffed and the spine corners are sharp, which make knives with this grinding excellent for use with a fire starter. The adventure awaits!
Another great Morakniv product. Sharp as a scalpel and a must have for bushcraft. Excellent quality and very handy around camp. Great product

Morakniv Eldris draw my attention back since 2016 and I was wondering how to get one. It took a little while until I got Red Eldris by the end of 2019. Since then, Eldris has always been in my backpack as it does most of my bushcraft needs. tent stake, feather stick, strike fire with ferro rod, food prep and else. It does the job done. Now, I have three of them (Red, Black and Yellow with fire kit, plus one Eldris Lightduty).

This knife lives in my daypack. Its very robust, comfortable in my hand, and way more useful than you think. Its a good back up knife if you’re bushcrafting, and a great knife for hikers and backpackers who have space and weight considerations.
It does take a little time to get use to such a short blade, but it handles most chores smartly.
I just bought a red one for my toolbox.
