Wilderness knife in carbon steel with DLC coating
Garberg BlackBlade (C) is a robust and fire starter-compatible wilderness knife built for tough tasks. The 3.2 mm thick blade, made of German carbon steel, has a DLC coating that provides some protection against rust and prevents reflection. The knife features a concealed full tang with an exposed section at the back of the handle, allowing for batoning wood, striking sparks, or scraping. The comfortable, molded handle has a finger guard and a Dala-patterned friction grip. The polymer knife sheath is suitable for both right- and left-handed users and includes a belt loop. Garberg (C) is available in Dala Red™ and black.
Ferro rod compatible and built for tough tasks
Whether you’re camping, hunting, or practicing bushcraft, Garberg BlackBlade is the only knife you need in the wilderness. It is designed to handle demanding tasks such as carving, splitting wood, cutting, and shelter building. Use a fire starter on the sharpened spine to create fire in any conditions.
Carbon steel that is easy to resharpen
Garberg BlackBlade (C) features a 3.2 mm thick blade made of German carbon steel (C100S), achieving a hardness of 57.5 HRC after heat treatment at our knife factory in Mora. Carbon steel is easy to resharpen but is more prone to rust in humid environments. That’s why the knife has a DLC coating that provides some protection against rust, but the blade should still be wiped and oiled after use.
The edge has a classic Scandi Grind, providing strength in every cut and making it easy to resharpen. The knife is manufactured at our knife factory in Mora, with over 130 years of craftsmanship tradition.
