Hook blade with tight curve and dual edges
The Hook Knife 162 Double Edge (S) features a 55 mm blade with a tight curve and sharpened on both sides – making it ideal for deep carving such as scoops or bowls. The 2 mm thick blade is made from recycled Swedish stainless steel and offers excellent edge retention. The full rat-tail tang provides strength and stability, while the oiled Scandinavian birch handle offers a natural and comfortable grip. Each knife comes with a leather sheath made from premium Swedish vegetable-tanned leather.
Designed for deep, precise carving
With its tight radius and dual-edged blade, the 162 (S) is optimized for scooping deep hollows without digging or catching. Whether you’re pushing or pulling, the blade glides smoothly across the surface. The shaped birch handle fits comfortably in your hand, no matter your grip or technique – and can be reshaped to match your personal preferences.
Swedish stainless steel with lasting sharpness
The blade is crafted from 2 mm thick recycled Swedish stainless steel (12C27), with a recycled content exceeding 80%. This stainless steel offers strength, edge durability, and minimal maintenance. After heat treatment in our Mora factory, the blade reaches a hardness of 56.5 HRC and is sharpened on both sides for versatility. Assembled by hand in Mora, Sweden, each knife carries the legacy of over 130 years of craftsmanship.
