Mora 2000 (S)

Can one say that a knife can attain cult status? If not, Morakniv Mora 2000 (S) comes very close to it. With its profile ground blade of stainless steel and the rubberized grip, it’s understandable that it has shown up on hunting towers, by forest tarns, and next to campfires around Sweden since it was first introduced at the beginning of the 90’s.

  1. A perfect companion in the forest. It was my first Mora I bought it in 2008 and used it all over the world, from jungle and rain forest to desert and tundra and it always served like a champ 13 years (and a lot of resharpening) later. When anyone asks about getting their first proper knife I direct them to the 2000 without fail.

  2. Best bang for the buck knife of all time! And also veeeery good even if you are not considering the low price.

  3. Beautiful knife..super

Product description

This is a first class all-round knife with profile grinding on the blade making it an optimal choice when taking care of the hunt. The Swedish stainless steel is of the highest quality, hardened and treated in our factory in Mora, according to our secret company recipe. It has a patterned friction grip made of TPE rubber, making the handle safe and firm. Also, the rubber means that the handle doesn’t conduct the cold so working with the knife is equally safe and comfortable any time of year. The polymer knife sheath has an adaptable leather strap so the knife is always close at hand on your belt or rucksack.

This knife is not fire steel compatible

This means that we have prioritized a sharp and durable edge together with a firm grip, which means that the appearance of the blade back is not given as much space. If you use this knife in contexts other than those intended, remember that it has this unpolished blade back – so it cannot be used with a fire starter.
