This is a sturdy craft knife that can be used in many different situations. Designed for the craftsman, the knife is an excellent choice when you need a sturdy, reliable tool close at hand. It’s also easy to re-sharpen, so you can use it again and again.

The ergonomic barrel-shaped polymer handle features a soft friction grip, sturdy finger guard and a 3.2 mm thick blade made of carbon steel, which provides both strength and stability in every cut. Thanks to the blade and handle design, the knife is ideal for working safely and efficiently in various weather conditions all year. The polymer sheath is equipped with the Morakniv Smart Button System which means you can attach several craft knives for different purposes to each other. It also has a practical belt clip for easy attachment to your belt. Carbon steel rusts, so wipe and oil the blade after use.

  1. As all mora knives, this is a good quality knife with a comfortable handle and a sharpened and strong blade

  2. The Robust is a low cost quality knife.

  3. Although i own every knife in this section of the Morakniv catalogue my favourite is the Robust. It has a slightly thicker carbon blade. It’s wider than say a N⁰511 and is bomb proof. If it was any cheaper they would be paying you to take it. Personally i prefer a carbon blade but some may not. Every tool or craft kit should have one of these. My only regret is they don’t still make the q line Robust.

  4. Love the pro robust for the hardy blade and edge retention. As far as the fire steel use goes about thirty seconds with a file and had a sharp 90 to strike the fire steel.

  5. Absolutely love the one I ordered. I wish I’d known about this knife YEARS ago! I bought more and gave to my son-in-law. E loves it.

  7. Great knife, almost indestructible. I’ve had mine for four years now and used it as a chisel, as a wrecking knife, hammered it through hardwood furniture, battoned it through smaller logs using a rock and couldn’t break it.
I even stuck it into the doorframe and hung myself by the handle and it held my bodyweight ( approx 90kg). I think you should drive a tank over it, in order to break this knife.

  8. thats awesome and ultra sharp

  9. I just moved to Sweden, Morakniv is a religion…this Mora robust is probably the best knife i ever had, Confortable handle, really sharp, excellent steel and unbreakable, i’m using it as a bushcraft knife it’s reaching almost the perfection, almost because if the blade would be 3 or 4 cm longer…that would be, for me, the top perfection.

  10. this is a very durable and sharp knife! although I was surprised when my old one rusted, as it is high-carbon steel it is not protected from rust. but other than that it is an amazing knife!

This knife cannot be used with a fire starter

This knife is for construction and craft work. This means that we have prioritized a sharp and durable edge together with a firm grip, which means that the appearance of the blade back is not given as much space. You are more than welcome to use any of our knives for your intended needs, but keep in mind that the spine will be “raw” (not ground) and polished on most craftsmen and construction knives. Therefore, it’s not compatible with a fire starter.
