A trusted splitting and drawknife for woodworkers
The Wood Splitting Knife 220 (S) is designed with a 114 mm long blade and two birch handles for excellent leverage and control. The 2.5 mm thick blade is made from recycled Swedish stainless steel, offering durability and a long-lasting edge. The shaped Scandinavian birch handles fit naturally in your hands and include finger guards for safety and precision.
For splitting kindling or carving with two hands
Use the 220 (S) to split wood into smaller pieces for fire-starting, or as a drawknife for shaving off material when carving. The dual-handle design allows for powerful, controlled two-handed work. The handles are crafted from Scandinavian birch and shaped for long-lasting comfort – and can be further customized to fit your grip.
Swedish stainless steel with lasting sharpness
The 2.5 mm blade is crafted from recycled Swedish stainless steel (12C27), with a recycled content of over 80%. This stainless steel offers excellent sharpness, corrosion resistance, and low maintenance. After heat treatment at our Mora factory, the blade reaches a hardness of 56.5 HRC. All components are made in Sweden, and each knife is hand-assembled at our Mora workshop – drawing on over a century of knife-making tradition.
