The go-to carving knife
With its shorter blade, the Woodcarving Knife 120 (C) is ideal for precision work and fine detail carving. The 2.5 mm thick German carbon steel blade delivers long-lasting sharpness and features a narrow, pointed shape for controlled cuts. The full rat-tail tang adds strength and stability, while the oiled Scandinavian birch handle provides a natural, comfortable grip.
Short blade for precision carving
The 120 (C) is a reliable choice when it comes to delicate carving work. The 62 mm short blade and pointed tip provide high precision, while the barrel-shaped birch handle offers comfort during long carving sessions. You can even reshape the handle for a more personalized fit.
German carbon steel for lasting sharpness
The 2.5 mm thick blade is made from German carbon steel (C100S), which holds a sharp edge over time and is easy to resharpen. Carbon steel requires a bit more maintenance when exposed to moisture – always wipe and oil the blade after use. Over time, the blade may develop a matte grey patina that enhances corrosion resistance. After heat treatment in our Mora factory, the blade reaches a hardness of 58.5 HRC. The polished blade features a laser-etched Morakniv logo, setting it apart from our laminated carbon steel models.
