This website is operated by Morakniv. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Morakniv. Morakniv offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
Morakniv AB is a producer and vendor of knives and accessories under the brands Morakniv and Frosts. On the website www.morakniv.se we sell our products to private individuals (not to companies) according to Swedish law and regulations, as stated by the Distans- och hemförsäljningslagen (Lag (2005:59). The company is registered in Sweden.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
Morakniv is not responsible for potential losses, damages (direct or indirect), reparations, indemnities, bodily injuries, damage to persons, harms, etc., that may affect the user.
1. General Terms and Conditions
You understand that your content (not including credit card information), may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.
You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us.
By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.

Complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party products should be directed to the third-party.
1.3 On orders containing laser-engraved items we reserve the right to refund and cancel the order if we find any of the engraving content offensive.
2. Liability and age of consent
Placing an order on Morakniv.se makes you liable. You accept this liability by accepting these Terms of Service and by placing your order when clicking “Place order” in the check out.
By using this site, you are required to be at least 18 years of age. You are also required to be of the age as that your state, province of residence, and country, require for use of websites and online purchases, and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site. By accepting these terms you confirm that you fulfill these age requirements.

For notifications by e-mail/SMS concerning the status of your order or, if needed, contact regarding additional information about your order.
For sending you information about events and campaigns on Morakniv, e.g. through newsletters.
Morakniv does not disclose information to third parties.
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
3.1. Accuracy of billing and account information
We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
The prices displayed at the Website include the statutory Value Added Tax (VAT) for sales within the European Union (“EU”).
For orders for deliveries outside of the EU, Morakniv do not collect VAT, GST, duties and/or taxes, etc. for the products (“Charges”), and Morakniv can therefore not state what your total price will be (including such Charges). You as a customer are responsible for paying all Charges related to the products, as you are the importer of the products. We recommend you contact your local customs for details related to such Charges before placing an order. In case you refuse to pay such Charges, you will not receive the products.
Price- and product information as well as other information on the website can be subject
to change and Morakniv take reservations concerning any possible errors. Morakniv
has the right to correct any possible errors. We take reservations concerning
price errors, errors concerning discount codes, price adjustments, products out
of stock, inventory errors, adjustments in technical specifications and
possible typos on our website as well as in advertisements. Morakniv has the
right to cancel any order which has apparent errors.
Potential campaigns on Morakniv.se web shop are always limited. To use these campaigns we sometimes use promotional codes that are to be stated in the check-out process before placing your order. The promotional codes are to be used for one purchase only and cannot be combined with other campaigns and special prices. Please examine your total amount carefully before placing your order to make sure the correct discounts are applied. If you have questions and problems with using promotional codes, please contact our customer support.
Morakniv holds the right to cancel any order where misuse and/or incorrect use of campaigns and promotional codes are assumed.
Morakniv is not held responsible for promotional codes and campaigns published and/or distributed by third-parties.

Morakniv webshop uses Stripe for all payments. Stripe’s terms will apply.
Your payment can be made using a credit card. Credit cards accepted by Stripe are: Visa and MasterCard. Stripe allows safe payments.

We deliver to the following countries:

7.1. International deliveries
We deliver orders to countries within the European Union (EU), Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, and the USA with some exceptions (see the above list). All orders are shipped from Mora, Sweden.
You are asked to enter your e-mail address and phone number during the checkout process. This enables the shipping agent to notify you once your order is ready for pick up at your local agent or delivery to the address provided. As soon as your order has left the Morakniv warehouse, you will receive information from the shipping agent about your package and the package ID. You can use the package ID to monitor the status of your package. We use DHL and UPS for deliveries.
Please note that for the safe delivery of any order you must state a correct delivery address and contact details (no P.O. boxes – since the courier requires a signature upon delivery). The delivery address is to be an address where you can be reached during ordinary business hours – Monday through Friday. Morakniv is not responsible for any costs related to you providing us with an incorrect address or contact details, or an address where you cannot be reached during ordinary business hours – Monday through Friday.
If the products in your order are in stock, your order leaves our warehouse within 3-5 days. If your product(s) aren’t in stock, it may take an additional 5-10 working days before we can ship your order. We reserve the right to change or alter these estimated times of delivery at any time.
Please note that delivery time of the shipping agent is not included in the above estimates.
If parts of your order have different times of delivery, we will ship your order once all products in your order are available. This means that you will receive a single delivery for all the products ordered.
If your order is delayed for any reason, we will contact you. Your order will leave our warehouse when all products in your order are available. You always have the right to cancel your order if delays in our handling may arise.
Morakniv is not responsible for potential disagreements, delays, or similar cases that may arise after the order has left the Morakniv warehouse and been handed over to the shipping agent.
7.2. Unclaimed packages
For any uncollected products (e.g. due to incorrect address or contact details, or unsuccessful deliveries due to courier not being able to reach you, or non-payment of the Charges (if applicable)) you will be charged an administrative cost: Sweden – 250 SEK, EU – EUR thirty (€ 30), and outside of EU – EUR forty (€ 40), however not exceeding the total order value.
Unclaimed packages will be returned to us. An unclaimed package is not equal to using the right to withdraw an order. If you wish to withdraw your order, you have to contact our customer support.
The package is usually available at your local agent for 14 days after day of arrival. For questions about your package, you are always welcome to contact our customer support (shop(at)morakniv.se).
8. Right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw within 14 days. The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you receive the products. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform our customer support via e-mail. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired. If you need assistance in carrying out the right to withdraw, please contact our customer support. The right to withdraw does not apply to custom products like laser-engraved knives. When ordering laser-engraved knives the responsibility for the content of the engraving lies on the customer and we engrave exactly the text written by the customer at the time of purchase.
9. Return policy
Morakniv values our relationship with you, and offers you the option to return most products you purchase directly from us. For all purchases not made directly from Morakniv, please check the return policy of the dealer/agent from which you purchased your product.
If you wish to return a product bought on morakniv.se it must be returned within 14 days after the order date, in its original condition and original packaging. You are liable for any diminished value of the products resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the same. This means the products should not have been damaged, soiled, washed, altered or worn and that any labels or tags should be intact. The buyer is obliged to pay the cost for the fright home to Morakniv.

9.1. Returning a product
When contacting our customer support to register your return, they can provide you with a shipping label. We recommend you to choose this method for return. For using this shipping label we will charge 99 SEK within Sweden, 15 EUR outside of Sweden for the refund.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your product(s), unless you received the incorrect item or if the product(s) in some way are incorrect by due to an error on our part. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund (if we provided you with a prepaid return shipping label).
You can also arrange for your own return shipping, but if doing so you have to make sure that the delivery is trackable and delivered all the way to the Morakniv warehouse. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
If applicable, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment as soon as possible.
9.2. Product status
When returning your product(s) the original package needs to be intact, so make sure to protect it with enough wrapping for the transportation. If applicable, all accessories accompanying the product(s) must be returned, such as original package, clips, loops, sheaths, etc. If, for some reason, there are defects to the product(s) caused by the customer, you are liable for such diminished value. Morakniv holds the right to make refund reductions in any case or, if necessary, not accept the return.
Please note that all returns must be approved and registered by our customer support prior to sending us the product.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment as soon as possible. Please note that this may take some working days.
Our products have a life time warranty. The terms are presented on our website: Our guarantee. This warranty extends only to the product’s original purchaser. Broken knife tips, discolorations from food and rust spots are not covered. The guarantee excludes damage caused by misuse or accident.
We guarantee that all our knives are free from defects in materials, construction and workmanship for the lifetime of the product, with normal use and provided that the care instructions here on the website are followed. If the knife is faulty in terms of materials or workmanship, we will repair it free of charge, or exchange it for an identical knife or for one of equivalent value if the model has been discontinued. The guarantee does not give the right to a refund.
Claims are made by contacting Morakniv customer support. We will ask for your name, order number, and what product you wish to discuss. If the guarantee is applicable, Morakniv will pay for the freight cost when providing you with a new product. It is important that you use the freight documents provided by our customer support. If disputes may arise, we will follow the guidelines of Swedish Allmäna Reklamationsnämnden (read more about them and your rights as a consumer at www.arn.se).

12. Force majeure
Morakniv is not liable for any non-performance caused by circumstances beyond our control, which directly or indirectly prevents, obstructs or renders production, delivery or freight uneconomical until such obstacle has been removed (force majeure). Such circumstances shall be deemed to include difficulties to procure raw materials as well as other difficulties and disturbances, including but not limited to war, riot, labour conflicts, fire, flood, storm, accident, fuel or power shortages, transportation shortages, obstacles or interruptions regarding transportation at sea and breakdowns or interruptions of any kind as regards to our equipment or facilities, which are deemed necessary for the performance of our agreements’ obligations.

13. User comments, feedback and other submissions
If, at our request, you send certain specific submissions (for example contest entries) or without a request from us you send creative ideas, suggestions, proposals, plans, or other materials, whether online, by email, by postal mail, or otherwise (collectively, ‘comments’), you agree that we may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium any comments that you forward to us. We are and shall be under no obligation (1) to maintain any comments in confidence; (2) to pay compensation for any comments; or (3) to respond to any comments.
We may, but have no obligation to, monitor, edit or remove content that we determine in our sole discretion are unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms of Service.
You agree that your comments will not violate any right of any third-party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, personality or other personal or proprietary right. You further agree that your comments will not contain libelous or otherwise unlawful, abusive or obscene material, or contain any computer virus or other malware that could in any way affect the operation of the Service or any related website. You may not use a false e-mail address, pretend to be someone other than yourself, or otherwise mislead us or third-parties as to the origin of any comments. You are solely responsible for any comments you make and their accuracy. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for any comments posted by you or any third-party.
14. Prohibited uses
In addition to other prohibitions as set forth in the Terms of Service, you are prohibited from using the site or its content: (a) for any unlawful purpose; (b) to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts; (c) to violate any international, federal, provincial or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances; (d) to infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others; (e) to harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability; (f) to submit false or misleading information; (g) to upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code that will or may be used in any way that will affect the functionality or operation of the Service or of any related website, other websites, or the Internet; (h) to collect or track the personal information of others; (i) to spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape; (j) for any obscene or immoral purpose; or (k) to interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Service or any related website, other websites, or the Internet. We reserve the right to terminate your use of the Service or any related website for violating any of the prohibited uses.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swedish law and any dispute shall be settled in a Swedish public court.
16. Morakniv Adventure
Minimum age for participation in Morakniv Adventure is 18 years of age. By accepting these Terms in connection with a purchase of an entry to the event, you also confirm that you fulfill these requirements. Morakniv holds the right to deny participation of underage participants if necessary.
If we are forced to cancel Morakniv Adventure before it starts, you will always be entitled to a refund for the entry fee you have paid.
Registration has binding force. Once the cooling-off period (14 days after your order has been placed) has ended, so does your right to receive a refund in the event that you cancel.
Partcipants attending Morakniv Adventure do so at their own risk. By accepting these Terms of Registration participants agree to assume all risk involved by participating in the event. Morakniv disclaims all responsibility of potential losses, damages, injuries (immediate or collateral), personal injuries, etc. that can affect the participant. Morakniv recommends that participants take out appropriate insurance. Morakniv cannot be held accountable for any injuries or diseases that can be related to the event. Morakniv is not accountable for any obstacles or limitation of the event that is a result of events out of our control which it cannot reasonably have been expected to anticipate or avoid. This includes events such as natural disasters, extreme weather conditions or government decisions. Morakniv is not accountable for personal belongings or equipment that the participants bring to Morakniv Adventure. Morakniv is not accountable for losses and injuries resulting from crime, accident or other people’s acts (or failure to act) during the event.
