A classic carbon steel carving knife with Scandinavian birch
The Woodcarving Knife 106 (C) features an 85 mm long, narrow, and pointed blade that provides excellent control when making larger cuts. At 2.5 mm thick, the blade is made from carbon steel that offers long-lasting sharpness and is easy to keep razor-sharp. while the oiled Scandinavian birch handle sits naturally in your hand.
A longer blade for versatile carving
Ideal for all-around woodcarving, the 106 (C) delivers stability and control thanks to its narrow blade and full tang construction. The barrel-shaped birch handle offers a comfortable grip during extended use – and can be adjusted to better suit your hand.
German carbon steel for lasting sharpness
The blade is crafted from 2.5 mm thick German carbon steel (C100S), known for its excellent edge performance over time. After heat treatment in our Mora factory, the blade reaches a hardness of 58.5 HRC. While carbon steel is easy to resharpen, it requires care to prevent rust – always wipe and oil the blade after use. Over time, the blade may develop a matte grey patina that enhances corrosion resistance. The polished blade features a laser-etched Morakniv logo, setting it apart from our laminated carbon steel models.
